HOLDEN, Mass. — The Holden Area Chamber of Commerce will once again award scholarships to graduating seniors who reside in the Wachusett Region.
Thanks to support shown by the business community, the local Chamber will offer three $2000 scholarships to high school seniors who have taken at least one business course and will continue with business studies as a full-time student at a two-year or four-year college. Students must reside in the towns of Holden, Paxton, Princeton, Rutland or Sterling.
The scholarship application can be obtained from the Guidance Department at area high schools and also is available on the Holden Area Chamber of Commerce website: www.holdenareachamber.org.
Students are asked to mail the completed application, along with the required information to the Holden Area Chamber of Commerce, 1174 Main Street, Holden, MA 01520.
The deadline to apply is April 30, 2012. The winners will be announced prior to high school graduation and the awards will be given out at the Holden Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting on June 7, 2012.
The Chamber will host events throughout the year to fund this program, including the Scholarship Scramble Golf Tournament scheduled for Tuesday, May 8 at Wachusett Country Club in West Boylston.
