HOLDEN, Mass. — The annual census has been mailed to each household, and residents are asked tocomplete and return the census form to the Town Clerk's Office as soon as possible.
Each city and town in Massachusetts is required to conduct an annual census. The local census is used to maintain the voting list, aids in school enrollment projections, planning, public safety and senior citizens’ needs. The local census also establishes proof of residency, which is often needed for veterans’ benefits, reduced tuition at state colleges and universities, and the like.

As a convenience to residents owning dogs, an application has been enclosed to license the dog(s) by mail.
A quick response will enable the Town of Holden to complete the annual census in a timely manner.
If you misplaced your census form or did not receive a census form, please call the Town Clerk’s Office at (508) 210-5530.
Residents may return the form by mail or drop it off at the Town Hall, 1196 Main Street , Starbard Building or Senior Center.
